Avaada Energy, the renewable energy arm of Avaada Group, has won a 280 MWp capacity in the Solar Energy Corp. of India’s 2 GW solar auction. It won this interstate transmission grid-connected capacity through tariff-based competitive bidding.
As per the tender document, Avaada Energy can set up its solar power project anywhere in India and supply green electricity on a long-term basis at a tariff of INR 2.61 ($0.032)/kWh.
The project will become operational within 18 months from the signing of the power purchase agreement.
The latest addition follows Avaada Energy’s win of 400 MW capacity from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd, 421 MW from DVC, and 280 MW from Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd.
Avaada Group, ledby Vineet Mittal, is an integrated energy platform with business interests ranging from the manufacturing of solar ingots, wafers, cells, modules, and electrolyzers to renewable power generation, green hydrogen, green methanol, and green ammonia production.
