Jet.AI, a private aviation operator and software solutions provider, has launched a new carbon emissions offset platform that calculates emissions from most aircraft in operation today.

“The DynoFlight platform allows for flight-by-flight carbon removal credit purchases at competitive costs, and we vet the credits for you,” explained Mike Winston, the company’s founder and executive chairman, adding that it is offering carbon dioxide removal (CDR) credits through its partnership with carbon capture technology firm Glanris. The latter has developed a patented form of biochar, a charcoal residue produced from the pyrolysis of biomass sources that transforms carbon into a more stable form for sequestration.

“Unlike a majority of carbon credits that focus on emissions reduction, CDR credits actively remove CO2 from the atmosphere and store it through various methods, making them the highest quality credits,” Winston said.

By offering carbon offset through the purchase of CDR credits, DnoFlight enables users to contribute to the direct extraction of carbon from the environment at a cost of approximately $200 per ton.

The system allows customers to register their CO2 removal certificates through Puro.earth’s carbon removal registry and record carbon emissions for specific aircraft to track statistics across their fleets. Users can also estimate emissions for any route on more than 250 of the most common business and commercial aircraft using either conventional jet fuel or sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
