REC signs 3 pacts for power plant, green energy

Bhubaneswar: The Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) has inked memoranda of understanding with three separate entities to boost green energy production. In the first MoU signed with Odisha Power Grid Corporation, expansion of OPGC’s thermal power plant at Jharsuguda will be taken up for Rs 9,538 crore. In another MoU with Avaada Energy, a green hydrogen and green ammonia project will be set up at Gopalpur for Rs 15,000 crore. In the third MoU signed with ACME Solar, another similar project will come up at Gopalpur at a cost of Rs 16,000 crore.TNN
