Brooge Renewable Energy Ltd, a subsidiary of Brooge Energy Limited, has announced the successful completion of the Feasibility Study for its Green Ammonia Project in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The study was conducted by EY and overseen by the Company’s interim CEO.
Green ammonia is recognized as an efficient and clean carrier of green hydrogen and plays a crucial role in global decarbonization efforts. The Company is developing a world-class green ammonia production facility with a capacity of 1950 Tons Per Day (TPD). The project will be executed in two phases, with Phase-I commissioning 300 TPD. Upon completion, the Company will have a production capacity of approximately 685 Kilo Tons Per Annum (KTPA) of green ammonia.
The Company is strategically positioned to solidify its presence in the green ammonia market and has plans to secure strong off-take ties in Europe and Asia. With the Middle East’s competitive advantage in terms of lower production costs and freight costs, the project aims toset new benchmarks in the industry.
The completion of the Feasibility Study marks a significant milestone for Brooge Renewable Energy. The Company is confident that its green ammonia production facility will not only meet the global demand for green hydrogen carriers but also contribute to the UAE’s and the world’s net-zero targets.
