With this collaboration, Fiberpartner aims to offer a remarkable bio-based alternative to traditional polyester fibers. During the second half of 2023, the company will introduce a diverse range of fibers, including solid and bico-fibers, that can be seamlessly bonded to natural fibers. In other news, Ahlstrom, a global sustainable specialty materials leader, and Black Bull Biochar, a start-up based in the U.K., are entering a partnership to help pilot the production of biochar, a greenhouse gas removal technology, or agricultural use. Black Bull Biochar (BBB) intends to launch and promote a sustainable and circular biochar market within the UK. The primary focus of BBB’s project is to assess the viability of commercial biochar usage in agriculture which could lead to significant carbon removal from the atmosphere, storing it in farm soils for centuries while improving soil quality.
