Wiesbaden (energate) – Hy2gen, a company based in Wiesbaden, Germany, wants to import 180,000 tonnes of green ammonia per year from Mexico, mainly to the European Union. To this end, it plans to build a 200 MW production plant in Campeche in south-east Mexico. The partners have now signed a cooperation agreement. According to Hy2gen, the electricity needed will come from a 415 MW wind farm and a 230 MW solar farm.
