Environmental impact of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural production from cellulosic sugars using biochar-based acid catalyst

In this study, HMF was successfully synthesized from a range of cellulosic sugars, utilizing sustainable acidic biochar derived from cassava rhizome (CR).
